I don't think it's possible to attach a picture to a private message. I don't think the forum software offers that option. You could maybe send the pic by email then send Ian a PM telling him to look out for the email

Another option could be to upload it into your private webspace or perhaps up load it to a hosting site then send Ian the link by PM.

.... unless Ian or Stephen knows of any way of attaching pics to PMs?

If your gallery contains a pic then carry out as following -

When typing the message you will see on the right (greyed out) 'My Pics'. Click the one you need to send as we would when showing pix on a thread.

I did get the PM with the picture of the British Meseum, Barr1e, and thanks for that.
I once more checked and learned that the pic must be uploaded to the gallery before attaching. As it is a portrait pic, I think, it would be better to ask for permission. I'll send him a PM. Thanks both, I appreciate it much.
