I enjoy going to butterfly parks, but when I went
    my camera all steamed up
also it seemed to affect the pictures.

Is there any way to get round this?

    Yes there is

Wait a few minutes so that the lens and the eyepiece warms up. The mistyness on the glass surfaces should slowly clear away. Just takes a little patience

Yep you need to let the camera acclimatise to the humidity inside , it took me about 20 minutes before i could use my camera in Stratfords butterfly farm .
