Re: Testing upload of pic
Thanks Ian - I did not get time to ask him how big they were or how much, it was a quick grab shot as we were being urged to get back on the coach.Originally posted by Ian View PostWow - is he carrying giant popadoms?

In answer to you second question - after succeding with this upload I then went back and uploaded the same picture to an album named India05 which I had created earlier and was successful this time. The only difference from the attempts which failed was that I had reduced the size of the picture from about 1200KB to 250KB and shortened the name of the file.
I need to do some more tests to find what the limitations are.?? Was it the size of the file which caused the trouble Ian ??

Re: Testing upload of pic
Hi Dennis I had a suspicion it was the file size causing the problem. I think you will find the file size limit is 250kb. I find if you keep the file within the range of 800-1000 pixels there is no problem keeping the size within 250kbOriginally posted by DennisP View PostThanks Ian - I did not get time to ask him how big they were or how much, it was a quick grab shot as we were being urged to get back on the coach.

Re: Testing upload of pic
Ah, yes - the file size. The individual file size limits should be the same on the gallery as the forum. You need to resize your images for on-screen display before uploading. 250K is reasonably generous for JPEG sizes that can be viewed comfortably on-screen and often you will only need quite a bit less.Originally posted by DennisP View PostThanks Ian - I did not get time to ask him how big they were or how much, it was a quick grab shot as we were being urged to get back on the coach.

Re: Testing upload of pic
Hi Ian - Many thanks for info. Actually I had already sussed out these size conditions when I successfully uploaded the same picture that I posted to the general forum to the member gallery 'India05' that I had previously created. I now have no need to carry out further tests.
