100 yrs RNLAF. part 2

From 13-06-2013 till 15-06-2013 the RNLAF held its annual open days. This year was a special occasion, since the RNLAF celebrated its 100th anniversary.
On 14-06-2013 it was the first day of the annual open days which were held at Volkel Air Base (EHVK). A small impression.

Actually Ian, our modern day air force (RNLAF) was rebuild during WWII in the UK. Our oldest squadrons are 320, 321 and 322 squadron. More on 320 sqn on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No._320...)_Squadron_RAF and more on 321 sqn on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No._321_Squadron_RAF.
Since the disbandonment of 320 and 321 sqns in 2005, 322 sqn remains the oldest sqn in the Netherlands. More on 322 sqn http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No._322...)_Squadron_RAF.
This year 322 sqn celebrates it 70th birthday as well.
322 Sqn started in UK on spitfires. After the war those spitfires were handed over to the RNLAF.
