A small mod has been made to the site so that you can now see how many images (if any) a forum poster has in his or her gallery. Just look on the right side of the forum message and you will see it. The number is linked to that person's gallery home page. If that person hasn't started a gallery, there will be no image count or link of course.

We've just had two spammers who each posted a string of inane comments in old threads. They did it so they could achieve full membership (with 6 postings) so that they could spam us with a live link in their 7th posting. that's why the thread seems odd and messed up.
I've now banned both spammers and their account will ultimately be deleted from the database.
I can only remember it vaguely. I think the link only showed for a short time then disappeared as it was buggy. When it did show, I seem to remember it showed a number (the number of pics in the user's gallery) and that number was a live link to their gallery. That particular modification only lasted a week or two iirc.
Ian may be along later then maybe he can throw more light on what happened.
I wonder if perhaps it would be better if I deleted this entire thread as the link mentioned no longer applies and the thread's been revived and messed up by spammers who were posting inappropriate links. In the meantime I'm closing the thread.
