How can I delete images that are currently in my gallery?

and

How can I move images from the general gallery space into a new album or from one album to another?

Sorry I can't seem to find a way of doing these things in the gallery area.

There are a couple of ways, for example, when viewing the picture in full on the page, look for the 'Edit Photo' link towards the bottom of the page. Follow this link and you will see check box (and a warning) to delete that image.

Do remember that if your delete an image that is also displayed on the forum in one of your posts, it will disappear from there too. Please don't delete images in your gallery that are also displayed in forum posts unless you really have to.

By 'general' gallery space, presumably you mean in the default location that you uploaded the image to originally, but within your own gallery space? Again, there is an option to copy an image into an album from the Edit Photo tools. You can also change the category of the image.

Copying and and changing an image category can change its url address and this also results in gallery pictures included in forum posts disappearing. If in doubt, get in touch and we can help

Hi Sue

I'll try to help.

Go into your Gallery "My Pictures". Click on the folder containing the images you want to delete.

Click on the image until it enlarges and shows the UBB Code.

Highlight the address and press Ctrl + C. This will copy your picture to the clipboard and now you can put it in another or a new folder by
pressing Ctrl + V.

However, before you move it, whilst you still have your enlarged image on the screen, scroll to the very bottom and it says:

Admin Options

Underneath this, click on "Edit."

This takes you to another screen and there is an option to delete. Just click the box and delete.

Don't forget to paste your picture back into the new folder (Ctrl+V)

Thanks for the helpful suggestions. I have managed to delete pics from my gallery but was not successful in moving them into a new album so I just reloaded from my computer and then deleted from the original location.
