i now see that what i needed to do was click the photo on the right hand side. is it possible to change the user profile page so that clicking photos (or add a new linky) will take the viewer to the users galleries?
I'll have a look at it but fundamentally the problem is the gallery software we use, which I am increasingly dissatisfied with. Unfortunately there are no other obvious alternatives that integrate with the forum.

one user's work that simply must be checked out is wizuk. with stunning images such as

their gallery is simply a must see.

as for the above shot i just love everything about it. the colours. the contrast. the composition. the lighting. i want to know soooo much about how this was shot and what post p went into it.

Hello all. My image, so I'll explain.

Yoshi is pretty close to the mark. This image can be a metaphor for the person trapped by alcohol, or a warning for others from a person affected by the alcoholic. The original title for this was going to be 'The Yin and Yang of Things'. Alcohol is a fine invention of man, and a scourge of many people everywhere. It can, as envisioned in this image, be a trap. Do you want it that bad as to test the trap, chance the pain? Many, many do. The prison of alcoholism.

I intend to use this trap in a series of images along these lines. At least that is the plan. Good eye, Yoshi.

i very nearly posted that one earlier as well. was going to leave it for another day

c'mon people, let's have some more! the idea of this thread is to get people looking at the galleries then posting their 'finds' as inspiration to others.

There are some excellent, interesting aquatic photos in the galleries and one I especially like is this one from Rab. The colours are superb and the expression on the face is wonderful.

Another of my all time gallery favourites is the 'Tall and the Small' from Rog. I go back to this particular picture time and time again. I love these 2 dogs, they're so expressive. I think their names are Sam and Sis (Sis being the little one iirc).

Here is another from the gallery of Horacio - they remind me of the escalators at The Royal Opera House - Covent Garden.

Hi Barrie. You are right. This pict was taken there in my last year trip to London, when I met Ian.

Here is an early one from Ash - fascinating subject and I like the high contrast presentation. Would love to know what this was about

This is turning out to be the thread of 2011 for me.

I drop in often at the picture gallery. Looking at the images shown in i was browsing the galleries and..... so far illustrate how many great/powerful images dpnow vaults contain.

As spring is almost here one could say 'blooming marvellous'.
