  • Christening photography tips wanted

    Hi all,

I've been asked to photograph a Christening and am looking for advice.

I have read previous threads, esp one by coupekid on the subject and looked at the links given. I intend visiting the church before the day at around the time the ceremony will take place. I will also ask about the use of flash while there taking test shots for lighting.

Should I take all my lenses or is it best to just take a couple? I have:

    18-55mm
    50mm 1.8
    28-90mm
    75-300mm

I do have the 430EX speedlight as well.

Any advice will be gratefully received as well as do's and don'ts. I've got a list of specific shots required and the rest are requested as candid/reportage.

    Gina

    Hi Gina

Not taken photo's at this type of event before but my two bits worth, I'm sure the pro's will be able to help you out a lot too:

Technical side will be dictated by the light inside the Church assuming you're allowed.
Make a list of the photo's that the couple would like.

    Oh and enjoy yourself
