  • Olympus E-400 IR WB

    Hi all.

I have converted my E400 to infrared, but I have problems when I want to set the WB.

I have set the "Fn" to one touch WB. When I take the picture at green grass, I get an error.

Need help to set the WB correct.

    Sorry for my poor english

Hi HB, have you considered simply shooting in RAW mode, then you can adjust the white balance afterwards?

Our Olympus dedicated site, Four Thirds User, could also be of help:

The one-touch white balance function is expecting a neutral grey or white subject for calibration.

A converted camera will probably not work with this function any more as the colour spectrum has been shifted.

You can try the manual colour adjustment tools in the custom white balance option.

        Menu > (Camera icon 1) > WB > Custom +/-R +/-G >

Press AEL/AFL button to capture a preview. Adjust Red and Green channels using the left right buttons to select the channel and the up/down buttons to alter the channel setting. Press the AEL/AFL button t preview your changes and then adjust again as required.
