  • Henry in Autumn

I've got a bit of a thing about the old cemetery about half a mile from work - it came in very handy when I was doing T189, and I was often drawn back to the statue of this horse, which is atop the grave of Robert Fossett (one of the founders of Roberts Brothers Circus).

This was taken in RAW, and converted to monotone by the Canon programme that came with the camera. Apart from that, I've just tinkered with the levels a little, and boosted the contrast slightly.

This is my first attempt at a black and white image on here..... so be gentle

I have absolutely no idea! He's been knocked about quite a bit - as is most of this Victorian gothic cemetery. He's on top of the grave of Robert Fossett who was one of the founders (with his brother, of course) of Roberts Brothers circus, who used to overwinter just outside Northampton.

Henry is just round the corner from Caroline Chisholm, by the way...

I've had many a lunch hour up there... I find it fascinating!
