Freja in the studio

Hi everyone

Hope you are all well at this time of year I have shot with Freja a few times now but always outside but thats not so much fun this time of year and I do like to look after my models. I said after the last shoot with her that we would do one indoors and true to my word we did. Basic shooting set up was shot on the Fuji X-T2 and the Fuji 50-140mm lens or the Fuji 16-55mm lens. Front light is a Godox 600ad in an octobox set to F8 with the backdrop being a Lastolite hi-lite with two Elinchrom R-lites set to F11. Iso 200 and ss 1/200sec or 1/160. Edits in Lr and Ps Cc. Loads more on my flickr site and also the colour ones

I am no expert. But I do like these shots.

Checked your flickr site as per usual.

On this occasion, I really cant say whether I prefer the mono, or the colour shots.

They all look terrific.

Also, I should have said. Freja's makeup has been done very well.

Is that her doing ? Or do you use a make up artist ?

No it's all her own doing She always has good make up and I did talk about it with her yesterday. I said how easy it makes my job of cleaning up any imperfections she may have and she said how lucky she is with her skin and does not often have spots. I like to keep it as real as I can but always like to do a bit of work after all no one wants a bad photo of themselves If anything I spent as much time cleaning up bits of eyelash makeup specks as I did cleaning any skin. One thing I did have to do a lot of was removing stray hairs across her eyes and face but I think it was worth it

She is a friend of Eloise (from school days) who I have shot with many times but not much of late so we also talked about doing a shoot with the two of them. Not so much both of them in the same photos but both on the same shoot and with the studio look. She was well up for that which I think will be great as Eloise loves to pose and I sometime have to slow her down where Freja is not so good at that side of things so I am hoping that will help Plan for that is in the new year (early I hope).

Sorry went on a bit but I am pretty happy with this shoot as you can guess

And so you should be happy with the results.

Having looked again at these, and your previous shoot with Freja.

I find the lighting in this set, has softened Freja's complexion, and the shadowed areas are a little softer, which I rather like.

Just a personal preference.
A shoot with both Freja and Eloise would be interesting.

I will look forward to seeing the results.

This was the first time I used the Godox Ad 600 in manual mode so set the light myself. All the outdoor shoots I have used ttl just because I could with the Fuji system as it was missing before.

Yes am really looking forward to doing that shoot and I will post some results on here for sure
