  • Head shoot and mirror shoots NSFW

Been wanting to do a mirror shoot for a while now and after having been let down a few times I was able to shoot these last weekend. Shot with the Fuji XT-! and the Fuji 16-55mm F2.8 lens. Elinchrom lighting and a ranger pack.

I like the 1st and 3rd shots and can appreciate what you are doing, as getting the reflection and the subject correctly positioned is not easy.

I do however find the repetitive background very distracting. I use lots of old "end of roll" fabrics to hide all sorts of things I don't like to see.

Lighting is very good and dare I say a "style" is beginning to develop

      Hi Graham

Yes it was not easy getting the right refection at times. Also making sure I was not in the mirror as well was a pain trying to get a few shoots. The young lady is not a model but someone who was happy to help me out with this. So trying to tell her and get the right looks was also not easy at times. As for the background it was the the better look as other wise I would have been shooting towards a window which sounds ok but trust me it was not good. This "studio" space I was using is really just a shed with a window in. Do not get me wrong it could be a really good space to shoot in if money was spent on it making it a proper studio but for now it is just not there. The lady who rents it is moving out at the end of the month so I will not be using again which is a bit of a pity because like I said it could be a good place to shoot in.
