After last week's news about their new black and white digital M-series camera and my reservations about a mono-only sensor, I got to use the Leica M Monochrom today. Here's a sample image:

Taken with a pre-production Leica M Monochrom fitted with the new Apo-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 lens. My obliging model, by the way, is Josh Waller from ePhotozine, base ISO-320 and f/2.0 at 1/250th sec. Basically this is out of the camera (DNG RAW file) and resized in Lightroom and that's it - no processing.
The bokeh from the lens fantastic and it is clearly very sharp wide open. Here's a 100% crop:
