    These birds are usually filmed for their lovely colour but in this case I think the way the light falls makes it an appropriate shot for B&W.

    I bet your tickled pink with that shot. Dose make a good B&W the way the light has modeled the feathers.

      Thanks Lumix - I was rather amazed by the stroke of luck I had coming across these in this light. But as well as their colour which is striking I recken they have a fascinating shape as well - to me they look like a group of ballerinas here

        I can see what you mean, it is a good picture, but I know I would like them better in colour.

            This is for autumn although strictly speaking it shouldn't be on this thread.

            I have also been experimenting with the unsharp mask on this picture and have got some rather startling results which I will paste up in the photoshop forum.
