      I love the tone of this - very Agfa Portriga Rapid! A great example of mono well done

        Nice one. I agree with Ian about the tone - very nice and it also adds to the 'authenticity' of the era you're projecting here.

            The best free plugin I have ever come across, unfortunately it only works on a PC

              Ooo thanks for the reminder. I'd forotten Opticverve existed, never got around to putting it into CS4.

              Since getting my new PC and CS4 I'd got into the habit of using the colour balance bars to tone any monos I wanted, that and duotones. Maybe I'll dig out the plugin again.

                Yeah certainly saves time faffing around, and useful when you just want to see what an image looks like when you have a tone in mind.
