  • Super race

Well if that is the way the season is going to go well bring it on. JB super win RB second after that bad start. Ok so the guys in red did not do well oh LH lucked in again but all in all a super start to the season. Roll on next weekend.

Just been watching the after race show on the red button its so funny EJ will be fun to watch as the season goes on. Him and DC bat well of one another then put MB in to the mix and let the good times roll.

yes, it was a great race, and Jenson did not put a foot wrong.

Oh and DAMN THOSE CLOCKS! i went and got up an hour late! ah well

I did notice there was a distinct lack of graphics during the commentry, any one else notice that?

Could have done with a few more in car shots as well. Great not to have the ads though.

What do people think to the new guy, (cant remember his name, the chap interviewing richard branson at the start etc) not sure \I am warming to him yet.

At first I didn't bother with the red button F1 forum as I thought it was just a text forum. I did see the last 15 minutes and it looked interesting.

I was a bit worried that the BBC wouldn't fund the coverage properly and I was also worried the commentary team would be a disappointment after ITV, but it's looking good. Jake Humphrey is doing a good job and the DC/EJ combo is funny. Jonathan Legard is better than I expected, and it's great to continue with Martin Brundle and Ted Kravitz, while new girl Holly seems to be doing well too.

The racing car trailer was just silly, but the new BBC F1 theme graphics with the Chain are very good.

I'm going to be spending much more time watching F1 this year L)

great race and great result. shame the red bull & toyota did a number on each other at the end. as for LH lucking 3rd....he started dead last in a dog of a car but managed to snatch 3rd while others were testing the stopping power of the walls and finding the width of the front wings.
i'm guessing that with the performance of the red bulls, the diffuser business should die down a bit as the performance differential between the haves and the have nots (front runners) wasn't that marked.

what was massa having a moan at? recall something being mentioned, but not what it was.

I've just watched my recording from this morning and I'm not imagining things am I? Truli was on the podium wasn't he?

Why is Hamilton listed as 3rd? I'm trying to find information on the BBC F1 site, but nothing tells me why Truli is now 12th.

          What happened?

Yes he was but not now. The full story is here.

Vittel also pushed back 10 places on next weeks grid.

              Thanks for the link.

Boy, I bet Hamilton's thanking his lucky stars tonight. Two cars crash and a penalty bringing him from 6th to 3rd. Not quite in the same league as "where's Glock gone?" of last year, but still.

Just think that if the same gods are smiling on him in a week or so and the appeal is upheld, forcing Button and Barrichello out of the running, Lewis could end up actually winning the first race of the season! 18th to 1st, they'll be erecting statues!

              There's something to think about.

I was nice enough to post the link be nice. I think that guy has enough luck as it is. Turns out massa had a problem with his front wing so that's the news on that one.

I'm just praying the appeal is thrown out so that Button's win stays as it is.

Would have been nice to see the red cars finish, though. It seems to me that Raikonnen can be quick to get despondent if he starts falling out of being in the running and I want to see some fire from that guy! After last year's stolen WDC, I'd like to see Massa up there too. (That said, if it's a battle between Massa and Button, you know who I'm rooting for! )

It's good to see some new faces and new car colours at the front, though. Makes for a different kind of experience. I was really waiting for a tussle between Button and Kubica at the end.

Almost agree with all of that. I think that is why I am not unhappy with the out come. Yes I would have been a lot happier if they had even got the cars home in the points but at the end of the day it was good to see button win with all the bad luck he has had over the last few years.

Oh and must say love the bbc show and the fact that it was not lewis this and lewis this like it was on itv. So well done the bbc.

I thought the same. It also took some getting used to to have the safety car come out and *not* immediately go to an advert!
