Well, the Brawn car seems quick out of the box
Ferrari do seem to be the benchmark once again, if today's test times are anything to go by. McLaren are definitely not where they want to be - interestingly they are behind the Brawn, which has the same Merc engine... very interesting!

Are Mclaren still running the old wing I wonder ?. I saw that the brawn car was going well. They did say last year they would be strong this year as they more or less gave up on the 2008 car really early to get a head start on the 2009 car. And yes I should not say it but we have seen Ferrari strong in pre testing before only to fall at the first hurdle. Lets hope it's not the same this season.

Massa, Kubica, and Alonso have all been quoted as saying that they feel the Brawn car has, er, real brawnOriginally posted by peter View PostAre Mclaren still running the old wing I wonder ?. You and me both. I have taken the week off between the first and second race as they are only a week apart. So looking forward to watching it on the bbc with the red button and all. I was saying to the guy I work with that I would be getting up early on the friday to watch the free practice and all that before going to work on the 27th and he just looked at me as if I was mad
. Then to top it all he just said "why not tape it" were do these people come from I wonder

Re: F1 news BBC F1 site up and running
I saw a part of the one with the yellow and black car racing on the roads last night and said to the wife whats this as we had switched over channels and I was not sure if it was anything to do with red nose day or not
. The reply I got was "I do not know just some rubbish I guess". Turns out she had seen it before and knew to well what it was all about
. Not long now. Two weeks today and we will know by this time of day who will be on the front of the grid come race day in oz. COME ON THE REDS
.

Re: F1 news BBC F1 site up and running
Great news about the Brawn car. With it looking like Button & Barrichello wouldn't make the grid, I wasn't all that enthusiastic about this season.
Now I'm as eager as ever. Bring it on...!
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/moto...ne/7948455.stm - I'll bet Massa's gutted that they brought this rule in one year too late.
