Frosty Morning
A farmer up in the Yorkshire Dales wakes up one cold frosty morning.
He looks out of the bedroom window and to his horror all his cows have got out of the barn, and are lying dead in the frost covered field.
He dashes outside but all the cows are lifeless and covered with ice.
Realising he is ruined he breaks down starts to sob, just then an old woman with round rimmed glasses comes along the lane by his field, she says "ee whats up love". The farmer between sobs explains that he is ruined.She says "calm thee self lets have a look". She opens the gate and walks to the nearest frozen cow, bending she blows into the nostril of the beast,it shakes its head and slowly comes back to life shaking the ice off as it rises to its feet. She makes her way round the field, repeating the process till all the cows are up and mobile. Leaving the field she turns to the farmer and says "see told thee nowt to worry about" and she carries on her way. The farmer runs into the house to tell his wife but she saw the whole thing from the kitchen window. She says "well you know who that was dont you?" He shakes his head.
"Thora Hurd" she says.
