Fantastic stuff! A lot of work but what a fabulous end result!

I could never even contemplate doing that sort of thing but I really envy those who can and do.

Whilst I admire the skill of the artist, and I'm truly amazed that they can look so.............well photographic. That basically is as far as it goes for me. I have never used Photoshop as a painting tool in this sense and frankly would not know how to go about doing it. I'm quite happy to use PS as a photographic tool in order to enhance and manipulate my images. These images are about as far removed as its possible to be from photography, and more to do with artistic skills of painting. But hey, whatever turns you on I suppose. I certainly don't think you should beat yourself up over not being able to achieve this sort of skill with the software

I don't beat myself up over it. I've been known to beat Hori up over it though because he's a superb artist- fine Art, digital art, musical artist and the other sort too - ie a great big, baldy p!ss artist.

He was the person who taught me endless skills with computers and he was also the person who got me going with vectors, web design, Xara etc. I'm as sick as a parrot that he's no longer online.

He used to help me design personal, interactive websites and little games for some of the disabled kids with the various softwares. He also produced discs carrying specific games and tasks to help our youngest (and other) speech/language kids with literacy. He's actually very talented, though photography was never high on his agenda. He was always more interested in graphics and digital art.

Adobe software is for graphic designers and artists too y'know.
