  • The Gadget Show

I know I have wriotten a similar thread, but again the Gadget Show (I show I really love, and always look forward to) has annoyed me with a camera test, the 450D vs 60D.

    Did anyone watch it?

They compared the two cameras by putting both cameras on 'auto' and then rather than take the same photos to compare, one tester was given the task of taking blue pictures, and the other by taking red, now tell me, how on earth is that a fair test!

The Gadget Show is quite fun to watch, but their tests aren't exactly in-depth

I find the show best for keeping up to date with things.

      I love the gadget show,
but I agree with you tests were not exactly fair.
The problem is they cram too much in and unable to give an indepth test on anything.

What annoyed me was look how easy it to go through the menu, yep it is to someone who knows the menus but what about us that are still trying to learn

Also it did not matter who took the photos I thought looking at the photos side by side the red always jumped out, just because red does.

I agree, I love to watch the show but I never use it to make my choice on which if any to buy, it's Top Gear for gadgets great to watch but full of stuff I will never need or be able to afford.

The prize seems to get bigger all the time, would not mind some of that!

I'm a bit suspicious of the prize draw - does anybody win it? The items look similar all the time...

Rarely bother to watch it, the tests all seem pretty inane.

The tests on The Gadget ShowThe Gadget Show could be relied upon as, well, as a gadget show. Now it's only worth watching as an entertainment show to see who's going to fall off which gadget in which challenge. Even then, this constant repeating of "coming up after the break" and "before the break we did..." is enough to put you off. It's why a 30m show now takes 60m to broadcast. Why is there this assumption that the viewer is too *thick* to remember what happened before the break? Why do we need a run down of what's "coming later" at every single ad break, even when they've already told us what's coming later? Perhaps they hope for stupid viewers these days so that no one notices the bias in their tests?
