    Re: Heather Mills

It didn't take long.... I received this tonight from my cousin, with the caption
"She couldn't wait to start spending the money"
Personally, I've managed to ignore most of this....
Just wish I'd done a bit better when I went through it!

She married an extremely rich man and he'd chosen to marry her, despite the concerns, fears and objections of his own family (3 daughter and a son).

She'd offered a prenuptial agreement and he refused. Bigger fool him BUT that was his choice, not hers. She'd been willing!

Therefore he intended that she should enjoy the lifestyle of a rich man's wife, he'd intended for her to be his equal. She therefore had every right to expect a luxurious married life - supported by her husband, as would appear to have been his intention.

She certainly shouldn't expect to live the remainder of her life in he same style as to that which she lived whilst still married to him though. However, she should be able to expect a reasonable settlement. I think she has that now.

However - I see absolutely no reason why she should be continually ridiculed because of her disability. Nor do I see why the world and it's neighbour should persist in being so nasty about her. He's just as 'greedy and grasping' as she is alleged to be .... a working class upstart who made millions by wailing out a few pop songs who has accumulated and counted his pennies and clung onto them for years. He's an idiot, proved he's an idiot who lacks judgement and dismisses the concerns of his own offspring.

He's also an old git with dyed hair. He looks ridiculous - he's no better than she is and his smugness does him no favours imho.

He considered her good enough to marry and good enough to bear him another child. Good luck to her. She didn't commit any crime.

Well said Pol. As I said, it doesn't interest me so I've basically ignored it, but there again that applies to 99.9% of 'star' news as far as I'm concerned! The same goes for the Diana inquest - and coverage in Northamptonshire is obviously heavy; I live about 15 miles from Althorp.

Well I tried to reply to Pol's message with 5 Laughing smilies, but they don't seem to work. I'll try again.
