Re: Colin McRae ... A very sad loss.
Julia told me about this a short while ago - it is indeed tragic. As I think many will reflect, Colin McRae survived many high-speed crashes during his rallying career and yet died like this. My thoughts must be with the mother of his child and the rest of the family, including his talented rally driver (brother) Alister McRae. His father, Jimmy McRae, is another British rally legend.Originally posted by coupekid View PostIf you havent heard by now, sadly Colin McRae and his 5yr old son were tragically killed yesterday in helicopter crash.

I didn't realise that Dave Richards, the ProDrive boss, escaped unhurt from this crash... he will be heading up the new ProDrive F1 time next year.Originally posted by Ian View PostJulia told me about this a short while ago - it is indeed tragic. Yes - sorry for the confusion!Originally posted by StuartR View PostWasn't Dave Richards in a different helicopter crash Ian?
But it's certainly very spooky that these two events should happen like this.
