Indeed, and not just for taking for photographs of Has to be said though that we are responsible photographers who did our research in advance and knew the times of the tides and when the causeway was safe to cross.

One of my cousins once spent a few overnight hours in that hut - with only his bike for company. He would've been maybe 14 at the time. My uncle didn't consider "the irresponsible, stupid little bugga" to be "too old for a damn good hiding" though.

These causeway-connected islands are more common than you might think. There is the on in north western France and I think there is one down in the West Country. I vaguely remember panicking a bit as a kid because we had to get back to the mainland or be marooned...
