Sorry, I should've posted. Ian mailed me at lunchtime and explained there had been some mix up, it shouldn't have expired and he was sorting it immediately.

Hi all - please accept my sincere apologies for the outage; there was an admin error at our end. Some of our domain names (and we have quite a few) are registered with registrars that auto-renew them. FTU is normally renewed manually and we do this in batches of several years but basically the reminder wasn't seen, however it was quickly fixed.
