Well Thats it then. I guess you will all know how I feel about the news of today. I hope even more that he can go out on a high. I almost feel like I lost a friend. I am just happy that I had the chance to see him race live. I was more schumi then Ferrari but they will still be the team for me. Hope kimi can do the job he has some big shoes to fill. Thats it for now off to have another drink

Re: F1 news Not what I was hoping to hear
I'm gutted. It was obvious that his retirement would be the most likely outcome, but I'd hoped he would continue racing simply because he hadn't lost any of his speed or talent. Now that he's made the announcement, I feel a little empty and possibly even a little disillusioned - F1 will lose a great deal of it's cachet when he leaves

Re: F1 news Not what I was hoping to hear
Even though it is sad to see him go ..... you've got to wonder what next year will bring .... three or four teams will be up at the 'sharp end' of the grid, and all with young 'talented drivers' who have shown to have a (lets say hot !!) temperament sometimes ..... Massa, who is quick, Kimi, who will be quicker now with a Ferrari under him, Alonso, who will be out for blood after losing this championship (yes I think he's lost it !!), and Jenson ... (if he can ever find top gear, and get a bit of a ruthless streak). Any one can be up there .... who's hungriest ?
As for shuey .... somehow don't see him as a 'pipe and slipper' guy, just yet.
Anyway, he's gotta keep an eye on 'little brother' !!
Perhaps he'll take over from Ross or Jon for a season whilst they all go on 'sabaticals' !!
We wait with baited breath .......
