  • Internet banking

Well kicking and screaming i have joined the 21st century just done my first transaction for £1😁

With us both being retired and living near the center of town we never needed it but the virus has left us not wanting to go into a bank,my stepdaughter is doing our shopping and we have run up a bill for just over £700 since lockdown started, that does include paying a couple of bills for us that would not take payment over the phone.
Sent her £1 just to make sure i had everything right, now tomorrow i have to make the big payment, dont like that 😉

We're still living in yesteryear. We don't do internet banking at all. No doubt the time will come, when we have to. But the boss would still rather go to the bank.

We were happy in yesteryear, going uptown as we call it on our scooters 3 or 4 times a week just for something to do, banking and shopping we didn't realise we enjoyed until we couldn't safely do it any more

        Welcome to the club Mike.

Actually I don't have a clue to this modern world as Anne does it all.

Been using internet banking now for quite some time. Transfer money from one bank to another. Moved the proceeds of my camera sale from PayPal to my bank last night and is was done in less than a minute. Not as bad as you first imagine. Just use your common sense to avoid scams and you can do your banking any time 24-7 Great.

I have to say that I personally don't have a problem with internet banking.

But oh has always dealt with the finances. I just bring it home. So I leave it to her who must be obeyed.

Why change the habit of a lifetime

Likewise my wife has always paid the Bill's, with my money . She tells me what she wants done and I do the computer bit. Shopping on line too is a joint effort.

I've used eBills pretty much since they've been in existence. The last time I went in a bank was a few years ago when one of our seasonal renters paid his entire bill in cash. PayPal is great for transferring money and there's no charge if it's going to family or friends. I've never done a video on online banking for my GoldenYearsGeek website. Maybe I should.
If you're not living on the edge you're taking up too much room.
