    Hi -

Does anyone use or know of this app for iphone or Android?

It appears quite good, but before downloading the app to my Nexus 7 I thought others might have suggestions to make etc.

This app is designed to help you digitise photos for your smartphone or tablet. It has some fairly sophisticated automatic post processing features to enhance your photos. Be aware though that it depends entirely on the quality of the camera in your device. I don't expect the capture quality to be anywhere near as good as a desktop flat bed scanner, but as long as you only use the 'scans' on your device and you are careful with how the photos are illuminated when capturing it should be fine.

Your photos are saved on your iPhone and on 1000memories
Why does everything on a phone these days apparently need to go via the internet? How many of these apps-with-cloud features are stealing your photos and/or data? So many apps these days want to trawl through your contacts, purportedly to enable "sharing" but how much information are they really keeping and selling on for profit?

Nevertheless, I thought I would try it to see what can be done without having to use their servers. Unfortunately, every time I try to run it, it pops up saying "this application has stopped". So I've uninstalled it.
