Photo frames

Firstly, apologies if this is in the wrong board.

I had a couple of photos printed over the weekend, my first mistake was to go to Jessops as they only offered A3 at the sort of size we wanted... which meant that part of the photos were lost as she cropped them. We picked the photos up later and tried looking for photo frames.... we found nothing in Nottingham city centre... well except for the frameless clip frames. Sunday we decided to go out frame hunting, and again, nothing...

Why do these places print in sizes that you cannot get frames for? or in fact to sizes that arent the general crop sizes for photos?

And does anyone know where I can get some nice A3 size wooden frames please

You could have a look at picturelizard.o.uk where they usually have a very good range of frames, albums, mounts etc.

You might also like to consider Photobox HERE for future prints.

Photobox is very rapid, prints arrive within 24-48 hrs most of the time. Good quality prints too. instructions about required resolution of your files in on their site. I ususlly send them 300dpi files cropped to the size I require.

Picture Lizard has always been about a 7-10 days for anything I've ordered from them. (mainly albums and strut mounts). It's always been very good quality stuff though.

A quick search for A3 frames on offer at Picture Lizard site brought up around 30 frames, some of them wooden.
