    Re: "Tough" enough ?

I would have thought that under the circumstances this statement could be given exception ...
'Get Olympus Bruno: Unfortunately, without model releases, we are unable to share photos of the couple.'
Newspapers etc often publish photographs of missing persons as do other forms of media. I'm sure the couple concerned would be overjoyed to recover their photographs and would willingly forgive their photographs being displayed without a release form being signed.

I was looking for something small to carry for my birthday and I was so impressed, Anne has just ordered the recently new toughie for me.

After reading the mishap Audrey had and the two near misses I have encountered (got it away with it) it helped make up my mind.

Also Graham of Rainham carries one, a big decider.

Lucky Barrie, generous Anne. So you'll have no excuse not to get out there in the cold, wet and freezing weather. No worries as you slip and slither about, eh.

Happy Birthday when it comes and enjoy your prezzie.

Impressive. What's the picture quality like on those things?

Cold, wet and very over cast (but you are looking at 800x600 res)

Warm, wet and Very Tasty (but 1/13s exposure and I hadn't cleaned the lens port )

It also has a "Document" mode that I use a lot, as I can OCR the jpg image as well as using it as a photocopy.

It's never going to compete with cameras that have the sensor in-line with the pop out lens, but drop one of those and they mostly die...

I've had my one underwater with the kids in the pool and water guns fired at it (well me actually) and it's been knocked about quite a bit. The only thing you must remember is to throughly clean the lens window.

When you are not worried about the camera, the shots get better as well

Buy one on ebay, try it, have fun and sell it again if you don't like it.
