  • DVI Cable

I have recently learned of DVI cables and connections and I was wondering if using a DVI cable, instead of the standard cable that comes with all PC systems and LCD monitors would allow my monitor to display photos better?

    Thanks in advance,

    Re: DVI Cable

If you have an LCd monitor with DVI in then it will improve the image. I haven't used it on CRT. The whole signal is then digital without any processing.

      Re: DVI Cable

I am glad you asked that question as I had a DVI cable delivered with my new monitor last week, but haven't used it.

It just says that the DVI cord is in the pack and
*NOTICE: DVI function is optional feature.

I run Windows Vista Home Edition. Should I be using the DVI cord?

I assume the graphics card supports DVI so use it!

          Re: DVI Cable

For still image display, there isn't a great deal of difference. DVI is more useful for movie playback, especially HD output. But if you have it, why not use it? There should be less need for image adjustment via DVI.
