  • No sound on my new computer

I recently bought a Medion computer with Vista OS.

There was a little video that came on when I configured the TV and I could hear it, but now although nothing is muted, all the systems I have checked say that everything is working OK, I can't hear any music, or tutorials, or TV or cds. When I do the test, all the speakers emit sound.

    Can you please help me?

Hi Audrey - when you say test the speakers and they work, if you click on the sound level slider do you hear a 'ding'?

The PC's keyboard may have mute and volume control buttons.

The fairies have been at it in the night.

I removed the cables from the computer, booted the computer, turned off the power on the big speaker, reconnected the leads to the computer, test box appeared. I switched on the power to the speakers, did a test and all were working properly! I put in a cd and it played beautifully.

Haven't yet tried the TV, but obviously there is sound now.

      Thanks for your response.
