  • Mousey, mousey!

I bought a wireless (USB) Logitech mouse less than 2 months ago! New Technology for me! A couple of days ago, it started playing up...getting slower & generally getting on my wick! Yesterday, it gave up on me & I was more than a little disappointed. This was supposed to be good! I had bought the more expensive one, thinking that would be better & last! I couldn't find the receipt anywhere but decided to take it back & ask the kind shop assistant to just have a look at it for me, as it may hopefully be something simple! Well, the kind man asked, 'have you opened it yet to check the battery?' 'No! what battery?' was my reply! Well, with that, he flicked the back off in a tick & inserted a new battery, tested for the blinking light & smiled pleasantly at me, as he handed it back to me! 'New AA batteries are over there!' he gestured kindly. I thanked him profusely whilst turning scarlet & was on my way! I felt a right twit, but thank goodness it was that simple!

That little tale certainly brightened up my morning

Just to repeat what I said the other day, wireless keyboards and mice are also susceptible to interference from other wireless devices, like cordless phones, mobile phones, bluetooth devices and also wireless LAN equipment. It's a power thing, so to ensure a clean signal you need to be as close to the receiver as possible.

Some 2.4GHz wireless devices, notably the more expensive ones from Logitech, can cut through the RF interference better.

i.ve had a sony vaio p.c for over a year now, the wireless keyboard & mouse have always performed beautifully
& a pop up on the screen , tells me when the batteries in the mouse are running low, i am very impressed with this tv/pc the feel of the keyboard & mouse & the faultless performance so far, also the screen is superior to my samsungsyncmaster191t, i use both models off the same router,,,john
