  • MS Office 2008 for Mac

Hi, Can any of you computer savvy guys help please

I have just bought Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac and installed on my iMac. I want to import all my info from my Windows based Outlook into Entourage, My contacts data and calender appointments and so forth. Naturally the file formats are not compatible. Microsoft do a tool that can do the job but it only works for MS Office 2000. I want to transfer from Office 2003.

I have found tools that will transfer the emails but no one seems to think anyone would want to transfer contacts

I'm afraid I can't really help with the MS issue. However I have always found Address book and iCal adequate for my needs on the Mac. Suppose I don't need anything too sophisticated, and if you have just bought Office then you will want to use it

I used it extensively and still do on the Windows partition, but the more I can get onto the Mac side of the computer the better. In time as I find Mac programs that can replace my Widows programs I will do without the Windows partition. It does use up memory. That said with Parallels it functions beautifully, and more memory installed would be a help, which will be the next thing after I get my Macbook. I have got the money together for the entry Macbook but want the Macbook Pro, so will have to wait a little longer.
