  • Problems using this Website

I'm probably doing something wrong or have my computer set on something wrong, but whenever I'm on this Website (DP Now) and stay on the homepage for a little while I get an error message "a script on this on this site is causing your computer to run slowly" then the choice of disable or continue running script.

Whatever I do after that it all just freezes and I then have to shut down internet explorer, but it also shuts down all internet explorer pages I have open not just the one with DP Now on.

It doesnt do this with any other sites I go on and Ive tried all updates but it still happens, been doing it for at least 2 months, maybe ever since Ive joined DP Now Any Ideas

    Re: Problems using this Website

I've had the same problem for a while, Ian put a post about it:
    http://dpnow.com/forum2/showthread.php?t=9857

In my case the problem was unpredictable, some pages would cause IE8 to crash, but the day after the same pages would be OK. I am now running dpnow.com in compatability view and I've not had any problems for a few days, although I have had problems with this site whilst running compatabilty mode in the past.

As I said, it's been OK for a few days but in the past it got so bad that I was unable to visit the site. I've never had any problems with any other web sites.
    Geoff.

      Re: Problems using this Website

Once again, sorry for the problems experienced.

The frustrating thing for us is that although we see some aspect of some page problems, it never crashes IE8 at our end. The usual symptom we see is a page missing an ad every now and again.

I have asked several of our technical gurus to look into this and so far we haven't found the problem.

It may be related to the ad server and I am planning an upgrade, so fingers crossed this will make a difference.

      Thanks for bearing with us
