Hi all,
Any else seen the below?
On the Nikon D7000, if you "Set Picture Control" to a custom Picture Control, then Save Settings i.e. to a BIN file on SD card. Then Load Settings.
You'll find that "Set Picture Control" defaults back to Standard (i.e. the built-in picture control named Standard). It only works if Picture Control is set to one of the built-in styles.
I've raised this with Nikon UK Support. They've said it's working as expected, but are still investigating. I would have expected the manual to state on p244 that "Save Settings" doesn't work with custom Picture Controls if that was the case, but it doesn't. Therefore in my mind it's a bug, however Nikon are currently saying it's a "feature".

Try it on your D700 & see if you get the same. You'll need to set a custom picture control first. Anyone will do, including your modified versions on the in-built styles.

Martin
