Finally after having to return a faulty OM to m4/3 adapter I have now obtained one that works. Armed with the E-M5, adapter, the recently gifted OM 28mm f3.5 and a Kenko 10mm extension tube I tried my hand at garden macros. Varying results but about 60% keepers:

















I now have to try the 50mm f1.4 and the 135mm. Interesting experiments but worth the effort on free by lenses.

All good results David the 50mm Zuiko 1:2 is my favourite. John.

The longer lenses will give you a better working distance and allow for the light to get in to the subject from reflectors and any other sources you employ. You will likely need a tripod as you get less light through the 135mm and shake becomes more obvious.

Lots of garden canes and ties to stop things moving about helps a lot.
