Leica 4/3rds lens - now to be sold separately

I learned that the kit Leica lens Vario-Elmarit 14-50mm F2.8-3.5 is now going to be sold separately as *a* lens - so no need to buy the body DMC-LC1, when you want the lens only. Effective from Dec.8th, price Yen157,500 (about USD1350, STpounds 790?? - i'm not familiar with the up-to-date exch. rate)

It does not say any further comments when this applies to other markets. I expect no big difference, though. Price - I do not know.

At Pana's official site I do not read a news release directly related to this but found this infor. This was uploaded today and it shows the price for the lens.
