Hi Stuart,
... so are you inclining more to not-buying EF-S 10-22mm and more to FF instead?

I myself have more interests in 50D, to be honest, as I was waiting for it - surprisingly early replacement this time - maybe next spring or so. I like a bigger viewfinder image of FF sensor for easier composition, though.

Ah, yes, as it is a teaser, I expect that the information revealed would be more and more in later days.

This teaser is for 50D. (Sorry for misleading)

Incidentally, on Aug.26, at the press release, Canon said that one more dSLR is coming within this year. So that might be the FF.

No, I'll probably still go for the 10-22mm - one day . I think one of my brothers may beat me to it though (although he may decide to go for the Sigma 10-20mm as it's a bit cheaper). I bet next time I see him he will have one of these lenses on his 400D hanging round his neck just under his big .

The 50D seems to indicate that Canon still have a commitment to APS-C and, if the 15MP images from this camera are as good as they claim they will be, then perhaps the desire to move to FF will gradually disappear?

I'm looking forward to some real-world tests of the production 50D (haven't seen any yet?) but I won't be upgrading so soon after buying the 40D....unless the price comes down significantly....or I have a weak moment....(hey, it happens!)

I'm afraid it looks like I have to correct myself.
While I was watching the teaser at Japanese site, after the initial pic, an ad of 50D followed. so I thought it was a 50D.
My second thought says 50D has been already announced. so it can't be 50D.
As you intuitively detected, the teaser could be for the coming FF.
