Newbie Question: Canon 40D noise in the body

Hi, I am a newbie here and newbie for DSLR.
I just got a Canon 40D kit today. When I moved the body, I noticed there were some little noices in it. The noices are not big, but noticeable, like a tiny thing moving in a can or a glass bottle. Are these little noices normal? or something wrong ?

the pop-up flash system is made of thin blades of metal. these can be slightly loose (they need to be) which is one source of noise. try popping the flash up and see if the noise is different. as it's brand new, i'd have thought the chances of a loose foreign body being in there would be relatively remote.

I use a 40D and there's no noise like that from mine..that I've noticed anyway. I'll have a good listen to mine at lunchtime.

I guess there could be a sensor to tell the camera's software whether the camera is horizontal or vertical to drive the auto-rotate function but I wouldn't expect to hear it.

Have you removed the lens to see if anything falls out or is visible?

Personally I'd shoot off a question to Canon and / or speak to the retailer you bought the camera from. It may need to go back for a check-up, repair or replacement.

Thanks for all the comments and advices.

I took off the lens, and I am sure the noises coming from the body. I popped up the flash and the little noise disappeared. I guess it's the pop-up Flash assembly.
However, I also found another problem in the process. At a time, when I pressed the shutter button with flash-up in portrait mode, the camera failed to take pictures, but kept flashing for about 1 second. At the same, several clicking...clicking noises came from the lens and the body. When the clicking noises ended, I could take pictures again. Was that normal ?
Also, I found it's very hard to see the ISO value and other parameters through the viewfinder. They are not as clear as I thought. I am wondering if that's case for all cameras or just mine. If that's normal, how do you usually adjust these parameters, in viewfinder? or on the LCD screen?
I am completely new to the DSLR thing, but I am trying to learn now. I apologize for the naive questions.
