  • Could a Sensor Get Dirty in Storage ?

I ask because I have not used my Fuji Pro S2 for almost 3 & half years but when I took a few shots today I notice large patches on bright parts of the image , I have checked the lens & both the front & rear optics are spotless .
Could a Sensor Get Dirty in Storage ?, even though it was stored in a closed camera bag & with the body cap in place.
    Regards & good Wishes

Sadly, this is a possibility. If dust was there in the first place, along with some humidity in the air, fungus could grow on the sensor. A great deal of care needs to be taken in order to fix the problem - don't use a blower brush or compressed air - these may simply impact more dirt on the sensor. Best get it professionally assessed.

My Friend says he will have a look at it but he is a pro so his time is at a premium & I can't go to him as due to one of my illness I'm not allowed to drive

How bad is the dust - can you post an example?
