Hello everyone! I'm hoping for some advice or suggestions.
First, let me tell you about my current camera, it is a Sony Cybershot U-40. I love this camera, it is ultra small and I take it everywhere with me. I've had it for about 5 years now, and I think it is coming to the end of its life. I've probably run it into the ground! The DSC filenames are up to 6500 now so i'm guessing i've been using it for quite a lot!
Especially with its 2Megapixels, the images that come out are more and more grainy so I think the sensor is dying too? Especially in the dark, the flash does not come out as well as it used to, and the flash takes longer to recharge.
I've been looking into a replacement, but there is no camera that is as small as the cybershot point and shooter. And i'm not really after a phone, even if they have 3.2megapixels etc.
There are there cameras that have taken my interest. Firstly, the Canon Ixus i7. Simply because its the next best thing to my Cybershot U40. The form is still the same but not quite as small. 7.1 Megapixels etc, 2.4" zoom, sounds great but the model is now discontinued so finding one is a bit hard (or ebay but i'd prefer not to ebay for warranty issues etc).
The second camera i've come to like is the Kodak V610. The specs seem quite good, but I most like it for its bluetooth, since i like to share my photos a lot, especially when i'm on the move. (I currently just take the msduo stick out of my camera and plug it into my phone) But i'm not sure if it having bluetooth justifies having the camera because the specs are pretty much standard for the rest of it, except for teh 10x zoom.
The third camera which has taken my eye is the Panasonic FX33. A compact camera with a wide angle lens. The wide angle is something i've been after for ages in a digital camera but since i'm used to my Cybershot, I'm wondering if the size of the Panasonic FX33 will feel "big" for me.
Does anyone have any suggestions or input?
Thanks in advance and sorry for boring you!
Merry Christmas everyone!
