We have now travelled through British Columbia into Alberta and the Rockies proper. The National Parks are areas of stunning natural beauty, and on our way to Banff we have travelled through Glacier NP, Yoho NP, and ventured into Kootenay NP. Banff though is the start of the of the travel north through the Icefields Parkway to Jasper.

This area seems to be a series of the most beautiful Lakes, Waterfalls, Glaciers and Mountains. The scenery is dramatic and though I hate using the term it has to be said Awesome.

We have not had the best weather over the last couple of days and there have been time when the blue sky gave way to heavier cloud, its a shame as from a photographic point of view it doesn't make for the best shots. Today Moraine Lake and Lake Louise lacked the light to make them stunning and as they are both some of the most popular spots they were very busy with tourists. Lake Louise was like Battersea Park Lake with people hiring canoes. Of course its been Bank Holiday Weekend here so that hasn't helped . Anyway just to illustrate the type of scenery we have been encountering here are a few shots all taken with the E-P1
