We moved from Nelson to Revelstoke In the Kootenay district of BC. It took all day and included walks through Old Growth Forest

Hill and lake country

Not to mention a cable car affair to get over the river

Finally the road reached Kootenay Lake and a free 20min ferry took us across to complete the run into Revelstoke

Two more nights were spent in Revelstoke, and during our full day there we went into the National Park. Unfortunately the weather was not as kind as it might have been, and on the trip up Mt Revelstoke the cloud was heavy, though good views were afforded from some of the overlooks.

I managed to get a few half decent shots from the top, though much of the time the cloud was swirling around us and it was quite cold.

Before we could get back to the car there was a torrential hailstorm, which managed to bring trees down over the roads and the park was closed until conditions improved. An hour and a half later we were allowed down the mountain, only to find a power cut in Revelstoke and everywhere was shut
