Thanks for the comments on the first entry in my Travel Blog.

We spent 2 nights in Nelson. It really is a beautiful town, different to many one seems to pass through whilst traveling through BC. Its more of a 'proper' town with streets laid out in a grid iron pattern. One of the things that struck me most was the predominance of what I would call New Age people..........what we would have called hippies no doubt in the late 60's early 70's. Also Bikers are very common, but none of yer boy racer types, these are proper bikers on their Harlys and Gold Wings etc, beautiful machines and it seems lovingly maintained. Anyway, enough of that, as I said Nelson is unlike many towns, as as you pass through the province, many towns are linear, following the route of the road. Many are old mining towns, but are now sleepy little places that rely on tourism and passing trade, the mining has long since stopped but they have strived to maintain the heritage feel of the place. One such place was Greenwood that we passed through on our way to Nelson

We stopped to stretch our legs and get some refreshment

The car was parked outside the coffee house, obviously it was promoting the place but but I thought it worthy of a few shots. The coffee was good though and I thought the interior and the coffee machine were also worth a picture

Here are a couple of shots showing the downtown area of Nelson
