For the last week we were, again, allowed to choose between Photoshop or the Studio. I had managed to persuade Elizabeth and Lara to model for us again so we were in The Studio.

This week we chose a blue background. The cameras were set to 125 F5.6 ISO 100. WB Cloudy. The light meters proved to be a little tempermental but all eventually were set.

Elizabeth and Lara took turns to pose for the cameras.

and did brilliantly again.

Getting your children to pose for a couple of hours doesn't come cheap. Here is Lara enjoying her 'reward'.

Ben, one of my fellow students, thought a bit of wind might make a good picture. While he was frantically flapping; getting the perfect shot was proving difficult.

However, I did manage to a couple of good ones.

That was our last week on the course. So what have I learnt?

Well, primarily, not to be afraid to use the Manual setting on the camera.

We have covered quite of lot in ten weeks.
The main things were; the basic aspects of the camera and taking photos - Composition, Camera Settings and Exposure Values, Different types of Lenses, Basics of Photoshop and the use of Flash and Lighting in a Studio.

I hope, now, I can use the skills I have learnt out of the studio.

Mainly, though, it was fun
