We have got to the penultimate week and we had a choice, either back in the studio or photoshop. Three of us decided to stay in the studio. We eventually decided on the set up below:
We took turns in taking pictures of each other.
These are the ones I am most pleased with.
Lastly, I asked Stephen to take some pictures of me! Only one of the lights on this time :-)
Thanks, Stephen, for your comments. I managed to persuade Stephen and Ben to put the RHS light higher as you suggested. The camera was set to cloudy day. We were given the option of either Flash or Cloudy Day.
During the pping I tried to make them lighter using Auto Levels but I preferred the warmer look.
I used a bit of Dodging on my picture to lighten up the RHS.
Hello Julia, I think you have done really well here. They are brilliant photos and the image of both of them is very well positioned. I have never studied portrait photography - it always seems too hard - perhaps it is because I have never had the equipment or any training.
I think you must have learned so much on this course and I think it is very beneficial to have tutoring rather than making your own way. I feel as though I have plateaued. I went on a macro course on Monday and thoroughly enjoyed it. I learned a lot - now I have to try to put it into practice.
I have enjoyed reading your blog and look forward to seeing more pics.
