Yesterday was very fortunate to attend a seminar hosted by Adobe's Bryan O�Neil Hughes, Senior Product Manager for Photoshop. The seminar was largely what was shown at Bryan's workshop at the recent Adobe Max 2011 event in Los Angeles. I published some articles exploring Photoshop CS5 18 months ago when CS5 was first launched. Key new features introduced with CS5 included Puppet Warp and enhanced Content Aware Fill. Earlier this year CS5.5 was released but as this required a 64-bit OS, and all my PCs had 32 bit Windows installed I didn't immediately install the 5.5 release. But I have put that right now and I'm now running Photoshop CS5.1. If you have a big fast PC with lots of RAM and a high grade graphics card you can benefit from much faster operation thanks to 64-bit memory management (up to 5x faster depending on the operation) and GPU accelerated functions.
