Sometimes photography is not about artistic merit; it's a device for recording moments and here's one I have been meaning to record for years. Our 16 year old tortoise-shell moggie, Jasmine, never learns and always gets into hilarious situations when she's given an ice cream tub to lick as it invariably gets stuck to her head, which it did tonight!

Alas, Jasmine the icecream tub comedienne cat, is no more. Just after Christmas she started to look unwell and deteriorated steadily. It didn't look good yesterday when she was seen by the vet. That said she still managed to consume a helping of chicken breast last night, but this morning during exploratory surgery the vet found a number of serious problems and we had to let her go. But at least we have lots of excellent memories and just short of her 17th birthday, she's had a good innings. And we still have her sister, Jemima, to help us to remember her.
