As some of you may recall we we ran a prize draw in partnership with Livedrive last month (with an iPad as the top prize - see: http://dpnow.com/7558.html).

I've been using the Livedrive service for several weeks and published my review of the service yesterday (see: http://dpnow.com/7630.html).

There are a lot of free services out there, but Livedrive only offer commercial service. So in a sense it's a premium service only. But there don't appear to be any catches - it's genuinely offered as an unlimited capacity, unlimited bandwidth service and there is no restriction on the number of computers that you can synchronise to the online storage if you are using their Briefcase option.

This is good news for photographers as images do mount up fast. The main problem with any online storage service is the accessibility and that's down to your internet connection. But with background updating using domestic internet access, I managed to upload just under 100GB of files in just a few weeks and now of course the transfers are smaller and less frequent, just updating the established backup.

Anyway, if you are interested in this topic, I hope you will find my article interesting :)
