The snow finally arrived overnight, as expected, although only about an inch and half. But still enough for some fun to be had. This shoot of boot imprints I made myself was taken with an Olympus Pen E-P2 and I applied the Grainy Film Art Filter (which also converts the image to mono) Filter retrospectively in post processing using Olympus Viewer 2 software. I then added extra sharpening and contrast in Photoshop.

#2Ian commented30-11-10, 04:25 PMEditing a commentI can well remember back in my film days messing around with different developers and films to reduce grain as much as possible, but I also played around with Tri-X and HP4/5 (hell, I've used out-dated HP3!) and enjoyed the structure of intense grain and I think it does work here. The daily photos challenge is certainly exercising my creativity. Whether or not a result on a day is a success or not, I feel I'm benefiting from the exercise.
